DR DIRK NELL
Dr Dirk Nell is a qualified orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in knee surgery. He has vast experience in treating a variety of knee conditions through modern techniques with proven long-term outcomes.
Dr Nell has experience in performing computer-assisted knee replacements and osteotomies. Additionally, he always keeps up to date with new technologies and is familiar with the latest patient-specific technology in knee replacements.
Dr Dirk Nell is a member of the South African Knee Society, the South African Arthroplasty Society and the International Society for Arthroscopy Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sport Medicine. He lectures on knee surgery at Stellenbosch Universtity Department of Orthopaedics and is a surgical trainer for arthroplasty fellowship candidates. He is a speaker at local and international knee conferences.
Outside of the operating room, Dr Nell is a dedicated family man and passionate sportsman. He was a provincial rugby player and athlete. He is an active canoeist, surfskier and mountain biker.
